Synopsis:
What if Basho’s famous Haiku turned into a dance film? That’s exactly what happens on screen while watching The Cuckoo’s Cry, choreographer Inbal Oshman’s interpretation of this eternal Haiku. A woman, who works in a dull monotonous office in Kyoto, frequently humiliated by her boss, realizes she can escape to another world through her office closet. There, in a place she deeply longs for, she experiences revelation and even meets a mysterious man with whom she can quiet her longings. But what will happen when her boss discovers she elopes from the office time and again? And will she ever be able to really experience life and not only through her fantasy?
